Pull up a chair and a cup of coffee while I share stories of God’s faithfulness during seasons of caring for parents while raising a family.
I’m a Southern California native, wife to my best friend, mom to six grown children, four we named and two who chose to marry into our crazy family. Did I mention I also have the most beautiful baby granddaughter? Our family is close even when miles separate us. I am officially a Human Resources Manager by day, but my passion is cooking, mentoring, writing and finding joy in God’s creation every day.
From the outside it might look like we have the perfect life, complete with a big black Lab, Luke. But over the years along with great joy, we have faced many trials and hardships. Through this blog I hope to share how God carried us through seasons of raising four children who were born within five years of each other, terminal illness, death, the Great Recession and the day I became a grandmother. It was during one of these seasons a wise doctor encouraged us to “live in the present, not focus on the the future”. Easier said than done, but that”s a story for another day.
I hope this blog will inspire and encourage you to Live in the Present and find joy each day!
